The shaft is typically used as a connection from the steering column down to the steering box or steering rack. It is a very nice quality shaft with a Dichromate coating to prevent rust. The universal joints are made from polished stainless steel and are used to connect the steering shaft to another piece of 3/4" DD. The fastener is designed for better attachment and upgraded safety.
