Brand New high performance 'Ready to Run' electronic distributor kit used for your Big Block Ford 429 to 460 V8 engines. Perfect upgrade over the out-dated points distributor and is also a nice replacement for big, bulky HEI distributors.
'Ready to Run' distributors require only an external coil (included) which feature a maintainence free magnetic pickup to accurately trigger the ignition which increases the output of the internal ignition easily outperforms stock ignitions and will smooth out engine idle, improve starting, and provide a much higher RPM range. A vacuum advance canister to help improve economy very high quality and reliable distributors. Plus, the small cap allows them to be used in most applications, even those where space is limited.
Coil included in this kit is a high performance E-core coil, provides 70% more spark that stock coils and is much more reliable. These coils are ideal for most street, strip, circle track, and drag racing applications. Internally, this coil has large gauge wire windings for maximum current and voltage with better heat dissipation at the higher RPM's.
Finally, this kit comes with the full set of spark plug wires, 9mm spark plug wires with a spiral wound core. Spiral wound conductor offers very little resistance. Two layers of fiberglass braid that offer the ultimate resistance to stretching, these are very universal wires that you cut and crimp to the correct size. BLACK is the color and are designed to mount over the headers also available in RED or BLUE and are also availabe in the under the header mount.
