This is a Brand New Mustang II manual Rack & Pinion. This rack has the short pinion, meaning it has a shorter than normal output shaft where the steering joint hooks up. This can come in handy on projects where space is tight or a different angle up to the steering column is needed. We do have standard length pinions on our other listings, check our Ebay store. This Manual Rack and Pinion fits 1974-1978 Ford Mustang II, T-Bird, Fairmont, and Mercury Capri. The overall length is 45" - the mounting holes are 16" center to center. This will fit original Mustang II crossmembers and most aftermarket crossmembers. This listing is for the rack and the correct 9/16-26 stainless u-joint (other end goes to a 3/4" DD shaft).
