The belt in this kit is a cogged 1.5" wide Gilmer style belt, design to prevent slippage of your V-belt and is great for use in high RPM applications. There is a 1:1 ratio on the water pump and crank pulleys. The crank pulley comes with a groove in the V-belt which can be used to run power steering, alternator pulley is uniquely designed to keep the belt aligned. It is to be used in the factory alternator position, which is on the passenger side. This kit will not work with air conditioned equipped vehicles. Again, this belt drive and pulley kit is for a big block Chevy with either short or long water pump.
